tritium dial,
Bracelet ref. 1499

History of Calibre 1861
Cal. 1861: same technical characteristics as the 861 except for an extra ruby on the 861 calibres until 1992 (the year in which the 861 also received an extra ruby).
This is the movement currently used for closed-back Moonwatch versions such as the classic Ref 3570.00.00.
The substantial changes compared to the previous 861 are the colouring, which in this reference becomes rhodium-plated (white gold).
The derivations follow the previous references without the initial one.
Cal. 1863: 863 rhodium-plated.
Cal. 1866: (Lemania 1884 ‘haute luxe’ and also available in Lemania’s less refined version with the reference 1883).
This is an 866, but rhodium-plated and without delrin brake.
It is mounted on ref. 3876.50.00 moonphase and date, and which has a visible caseback, unless (rather unlikely)
Omega mounts the delrin brake on moonphase and date models with a closed caseback, calling it 1866.
